Practice
Erin completed her studies in May 2017 and was admitted to practice as at Attorney-at-Law in December 2017. In July 2017, Erin joined Home Protector Insurance Company as its In-house Legal Counsel and head of the company’s legal department. While working at Home Protector Erin regularly advised on insurance matters, labour law and employment issues, and money laundering and company law matters. Erin also revised and updated all agreements, policies and procedures and provided the company with advice in relation to all insurance disputes. During her tenure at the company Erin appeared both as Counsel and Junior Counsel on behalf of the Company in several matters before Belize’s High Court.
In October 2019 Erin joined Balderamos Arthurs LLP and has, during this time, garnered considerable experience in complex litigation and transactional matters.
Erin regularly advises on Family Law and Matrimonial disputes, Estate and Succession matters, Personal Injury matters, and matters involving Employment, Corporate, Insurance, Contract and Tort Law. Erin has argued successfully before the Belize’s High Court, Magistrate Court and Family Court. Most recently, Erin has begun to take on criminal matters, where she has been successful both in the Magistrate Court as well as the High Court.
Erin maintains an avid interest in Insurance and Company law and undertakes a wide range of work at the firm.
